Putty rocks for Windows. Easy to use.

In commercial locations I usually go to Hummingbird.

PuTTY is all I use. The serial port mode is also very useful when I'm working with networking gear and other serial-console devices.

SecureCRT I like it's look, the tabs and other features. Used it for ages so have no plans of switching it up.

I always have SecureCRT open connected to all my servers, which is nice and easy because it support tabs, and I can connect to them all at once and launch top etc.

For coding, actually fixing things, etc definitely putty.

I prefer to use PuTTy as well. When I first started with an SSH client I used SecureCRT then after switching to PuTTy I've basically been using it ever since.

I do all my work from a FreeBSD desktop, managing FreeBSD servers (and one Debian donkey).

    $ ssh

If I'm not at a FreeBSD desktop I access my desktop from Windows using XMing, an open source X server for Windows. I could not stand using Putty and having a zillion windows all over the place - with XMing I can access the same X "desktop" (I don't use a heavy weight desktop like Gnome or KDE but a tiling window manager -- dwm is my window manager of choice). With this no matter where I sit I get as many virtual desktops as I wish, very lightweight, copy and paste between Windows and Unix if I need it, access to Windows when I need it, and freedom from Windows most of the time.

Most admin and development tasks I perform involve working with other *nix tools / (or primarily *nix) command line apps (rsync, subversion, git, mercurial, vim remote editing via ssh), integration is simple, there is no need to run "agents" and other paraphernalia.

Justify? Ease of use, and living in *nix all day makes you a better sysadmin.

Putty has been always my choice. But I would like to test some more SSH clients.

On Windows i use putty. What is equivalant in linux ? On ubuntu, i tried putty, that can't save servers, or even understand username@host syntax to connect to server. Using terminal on linux, i need to type more to connect than a double click on windows with putty.

    Oddly enough, "ssh"

I'd also recommend FileZilla on Windows for sftp which is a file transfer gui built on the Putty Dlls for protocol implementation.

I know that, you can't save connections like you do in putty. You need to start terminal, then enter command, that is more work if you have to connact to many servers, also added extra param if you use non standard port. I am looking for some thing like putty, where u can save servers. So with a double click you will get connected when rsa key is set.

Terminal.app on OS X (most of the time)
PuTTY on Windows (when at gunpoint)

    Justification: minimalism.

Just set up an 'alias' at the shell:

    Code:
    alias adama='ssh -p 22 -i /Volumes/KEYCHAIN/my_private_key root@adama.example.com'
Then you just have to type 'adama' to log in to that machine using your key. You can even use 'adama uptime' to run commands on each machine and return to your shell without staying logging in or using tabs.
