    Hi Kabayan,

I think WT is using free joomla template , i like that template though.
    That doesn't really matter

Colorwise it looks fresh, loads fast, looks a bit retro, but in that comfy sort of way which makes one want to stay, everything is easily accessible without much hunting for it, it gives off a friendly instead of a geeky or forbidding feel, in short: it does precisely what a good design should do.

It's not long ago that I had a look at them, and I stayed to read thoroughly. That's more than can be said for many others

    C.

I will experiment and post my results.

No, it was custom designed for us by Loading Deck. I wouldn't be surprised if someone ripped our site and made it into a Joomla template since our site gets ripped frequently :/

Your website is very well designed.
Clients often come to me and ask for a clone of your site but I have never done so.
If people rip your work, you shouldn't be angry, it just means that your site is worth ripping.

Up until a few months ago it was www.loadingdeck.com, but it seems he closed up shop as it isn't there anymore. If he is still around you may be able to get in touch with him through his LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/loadingdeck

I quite like ours, mostly because it's a forum although we're thinking of playing around with it to make it easier to find information (less clicks to target).

Other than that, I quite liked A Small Orange's design and Single Hop's.

I think SingleHop is one of the nicest I have ever seen.

Im not a big fan of HostGator's website but I love their logo and hosting

It would do HostGator good to pay someone to design them a new site but then again they are doing so well maybe they don't need it.

This is "Web 1.0" design, part of history, rarely able to see such sites.

Seems like everybody is moving to Minimalism

However, it is true, from the research we have done recently: less elements + SEO = more sales.

"Web 1.0" is/was a concept refers to older web standards. With static page contents, framesets, etc, generally what we were seeing around 2001 was something we call "web 1.0".

Singlehop's site is a bit too crowded for my taste. When I go there, my eyes get lost in everything. That's just me though.

I like Site5's design. As much as I hate to admit it, it's one of the reasons I got an account with them. Good design tends to help sell the product.
