Major Domain Hijacking this morning.
Apparently they have a new hack that they can just remove your domains without sending you an email notice or an auth code to transfer your domain to another registrar. Read the story below
All these domains where stolen out of the guys account.
Sou.com
Tysons.com
Speel.com
Procredito.com
Stickum.com
Nansi.com
Circut.com
Airwatch.com
Adios.com
Boxheads.com
Twiller.com
Greatglasses.com
Before.com

Sorry for the double post.... One of the scary things is that i was on the phone with him this morning and he has update virus protection and everything. They just took him out of his account for nothing. He didn't even get an email.

There is something strange in that history
"All of these names showed in Enom’s transfer-out report as moving over the last 2 weeks, Sou.com being the first, moving on the 8th of July,"
"We noticed that Sou.com, the first of the hijacked domains, was transferred again, this time to NamesDirect as registrar and again, fastpark.net as the lander and another private Whois,"
After a domain transfer is done the domain gets locked for 60 days. The domain sou.com is at namesdirect right now, but it must be the only transfer the domain had in the last 60 days, unless the original hijacking took place more than 60 days ago.Mousa: [as Rambo prepares to play Afghan game 'buzkashi'] God must love crazy people.

HMM, thats some weird stuff going on. He has, or had, some great names though. It's easy to see why someone would want them.

ENOM needs a new tool in my opinion. This tool should be available to customers to check all their domains against the registry to make sure that ENOM is still the registrar of record, and report to the user if any are on the list that ENOM does not control. Would be useful for early detection purposes.

The thing I don't get is how did one of the names manage to move between registrars in 14 days? That should be impossible due to 60 day hold.

If they hacked the back end system somehow they can do that. Enom is trying to get the situation resolved right now.

Except for circut.com, boxheads.com, greatglasses.com and before.com; according to WHOIS, the rest of the domains on the ops list are at ENOM under the reseller "IDC" at the moment.

That's very lame. I cannot understand how someone may think to steal such a visible asset and pretend to vanish hiding his traces.

What I'd like to see would be an official explanation for this incident. The information I obtained earlier was strictly from investigating via WHOIS. Otherwise, I don't have any further information.
