    Virpus, ugh.

I've been with Virpus in the past and they've been fairly good, however now they're absolutely terrible.

I ordered a VDS about a week ago, took them 4 days to set it up because he was 'out of office' -- I had filed a dispute. After it was delivered, it's been experiencing severe IP issues, always denied by them until today. My domains resolve sometimes.. other times they resolve to a default page displaying their website "TekDB.net"'s logo.

    I've been assigned strange IP's also -- *.100, *.128, and *.187.
    Why not sequential..?

I've also asked Ken multiple times on AIM to adjust my invoice to a later date as it's taking almost a week to deliver it properly.. all ignored.

the IP issue could be that other people claimed the IPs sequentially and he was just trying to use everything up in the 10x or 12x or 18x series...you'd have to ask him for that

and about the invoice due date issue, have you tried submitting a ticket or something? AIM isn't the most reliable way to do billing stuff (we never deal with billing stuff over instant message or live chat due to high risk of impersonation)

Already opened a ticket.. ignored too.

The annoying part is that I'm advertising their site TekDB.net.. they've replace default logo's with it.
I don't want my domains resolving to that crap.

ah did you try calling them?

it is frustrating to be on the client side and have tickets/messages ignored - I've been through that and it's a huge headache.

    good luck with this.

This is the second post I've seen within the last few weeks referencing Virpus going down hill which is unfortunate.

I was using them for backups in the past (same datacenter as us). But after the past few months of service I'm done too. I defended them for a while, but these days I just can't. Tickets take a week to be answered and the node is constantly having issues. Hopefully Ken will get things back on track.

No responses from Ken, the technicians haven't done crap regarding my IP issue.
It's still nicely down. A week after I've paid and my projects are going.. well.. nowhere.

I'm asking for a refund and then I'm outta there.

    Well Guess what

You are not the only person having issue with Virpus.

My VPS has been not working for few months now even though I paid 6 Months in advanced, he promised to refund my money.

However after waiting for few months nothing happening, I keep sending email to management but no reply at all.

This is getting to be pretty typical of Ken unfortunately.

    It's a shame.
