    VPS Backups with R1Soft.com?

Looking to set this up with an internal network running of a 2nd virtual NIC to the NAS. Anyone had experience with this type of backup solution?

Hello, depends on the virtualization software you are using. Virtuozzo for example, will back up the VPS server, but, you really cannot give users access to their individual VPS backups, as Virtuozzo really does not truely separate the containers. With XEN, each container is treated as a unique server and can be handled just like any other dedicated server with unique client login..

As for setting it up as you are specifying - yes, that would work, regardless of which virtualization software you are running. Just make sure you understand whether you are backing up the entire VPS server or each individual VPS node as a unique server in r1soft - and again, this will really depend on the virtualization software you are using..

I am not certain about a NAS vs a SAN. We do this on internal networks to a SAN storage system. Fundamentally, should not be much different with a NAS, but, honestly, have not explored this..
