Have you had any luck getting lost items back from airlines?
I flew out to Sacramento to see family & friends, and it seems I accidentally forgot my wallet on the airplane. Has anyone had luck getting lost items back?

Ouch... A few hundred? Ouch again! I hope there's a honest person out there that will return it. Why dont you get a debit card? I understand your under 18 but have your Mother/Father open up an account for you. They are so much nicer and you could even use online banking oh man what else do we want now a days lol it's just perfect. Once again im sorry for your loss and i hope some one finds it and returns it. Over here in california if you lost your Id it's $25.00 to order a new one, what about where you live?

I was over at the Isle of Mann the other year for a business trip..on my way back here to the states, my luggage somehow got lost at London - Gatwick.
Thankfully, they found it 4 days later, and I had my luggage the next day.

I think I've lost luggage in nearly airport I've traveled through (Dallas, Phoenix, LA, Washington DC and St. Louis. It's always turned up, sometimes same day, sometimes 3 or 4 days later. I think the only place I haven't lost luggage in was Honolulu International and San Francisco. Lost my wallet on a grocery store parking lot years ago and someone found it and called me to return it. I was shocked !

Your lucky you weren't intercepted in mid air..some...a lone piece of baggage left on a tarmac can make a lot of people scared pretty quick. lol
Guess your also lucky he didn't leave it under the prop or anything, and shred your bag. I had a friend once..forgot to remove the towbar from the plane..started the engines, and basically kissed that prop goodbye..lol

Once our airline ripped the front pocket off my suitcase, so that my belongings came out. I didn't get anything back, they don't like giving any money back.

I've lost luggage twice through JetBlue.. But they found the bag and shipped it overnight both times. My friend once left her purse on a plane and it was returned to her with everything in it! Including her iPhone.. So yes, there are some honest people in this world =)
