    Formal Goodbye

I've been here a long time, so I thought it was a good time to say a formal goodbye. From the start I got a reseller account at Vlexo.com, I was always interested in websites. I originally started out with a little site for a few members hosted on a free design from oswd.org. I started at a young age, 13. I am now 15 years old..and have been through a lot here.

June 2007 is when I found this forum, and started up a free hosting company. It wasn't very successful what-so-ever because it was a small company with little client-base.

I then went on to opening SaroraHosting.com in 2008. It lasted a few months before it crumbled due to bad business decisions with IGSoBE and other factors -- some my fault, I do admit. I went further on pursuing hosting and started SaroraHosting.com (or re-amping it, rather) -- it then went on to host a nice client base. I tried to get it to become good at a cheap price, but I made some mistakes (accepting too many orders on one node) and it crashed -- I brought new ones but with no avail it took me 2 days to get it back up. This caused a HUGE 15+ page WHT bashing ceremony, or a huge list of angry outsiders who wanted me to get out. At this point I sold my company to the reputable FSCKVPS/VAServ. I went all out with SaroraHosting.com (LLC, etc) but I did feel bad, so everyone was refunded. This was a big big blow to all my reputation and I lost all respect with 99.9% of WHT members.

I attempted to go for a 3rd and final attempt - some may know it as HDNP Solutions (hdnp.net) -- not opened. I went all out with it, investing much more than anyone my age could do. I took several jobs, bank offers, and more to invest about 15,000 into a now dead dream. The company was to be fully automatic and customized: portal, auto-setup, enterprise hardware, managed, etc. Everything was set but I lost total respect from the whole WHT audience.

In the end, I have decided not to continue HDNP. Even though I was ready to launch, I have decided to leave. There have been 3 ventures of mine, 2 which have failed, 1 which has been sold, and 1 that was to be done right -- after 'failing' I did learn more and more and that's why "HDNP" was to be completley unique and enterprise.

Behind my back, everyone has been rude to my face. My programmer, who I paid countless money to, has lied to me but has exploited information and made fun of me behind me. However, I did find out..but what can I do? There have been very little people who have supported me, one like FazeWire -- who has always been kind to me, so I thank you. There aren't too many people on this forum who have never trolled me. This may sound like a rant but I don't want it to be; some may think "God, this guy is coming back again..." -- all I can say to you is I was about to open HDNP with over 15K invested and I halted it; for the very reason that I would be doing everyone a favor by not opening.

I did ask for advice with HDNP, but most of my responses were like the following:

    "Get out kid, leave."
"Shikhir, go take HDNP and pay me $10000, I secure ur nodz for you so no one hacks it!"
    "Shikhir, go away."
    "Lol look it's the indian.."

..and other 'racial' comments. But that's how the 2009 world is.

For everyone who has bashed me -- I have learned from my mistakes, but congrats, in the end, my reputation from the high-seniors here has fallen to where no one will do business with me unless I pay them a huge fee, sometimes 10 x their normal price, or sign a lengthy contract with harsh conditions.

So, I'd like to say goodbye WHT. I will be online selling some last stuff that I had, for example I plan to make about 50% of my 15K investment back.

Thank you for the memories, fun, and knowledge this forum had; but I honestly do not feel respected here and am going to find a new place to venture.

*yawn* don't really want to read but all I have to say is, boooooooooooooooring, how many times do we need to read the same old nonsense.

I don't know you, I don't know your business, I actually couldn't care less and would appreciate if you stop trying to tell everyone about how you run your business, what cool new things you have got and continually trying to impress everyone -> NOBODY would care if you didn't continually seek approval.

That is my only gripe, everything else is meaningless and I am sure there are plenty of people that dislike you for those very same reasons.

Shikhir, you have done a lot for your age and for that I respect you. I'm sure you have learnt quite a lot of lessons from your experience with business, it isn't something that matures overnight... however you gotta have something that motivates you to keep going else you're going to fail.

Secondly opening multiple brands isn't going to help. So what if you failed with SaroraHosting? Work HARDER and fix the reputation, you can always do this... it's not gonna happen overnight again, will take sometime but definitely achievable. Opening multiple brands will get you in the never ending cycle that you are currently experiencing.

Don't give up Shikhir, life is tough out there and you have invested a lot of money as yourself said, don't put that to waste. If you need help contact me and I'll be happy to advise as well as help in whatever way possible.

Finally never run before you can walk. Not to bash you or shoot down your high goals but there is not need to have everything custom made when you're just starting off your feet. There are several software(s) out there that you can use to manage your business, once established if you want to get custom this and custom that go for it. For example, the $10,000 you paid for your programmer... you could have easily licensed about 50 Virtual Server Nodes with a 30PK Virtuozzo license... even if you were making $10 profit on each Virtual Server, at the end of the day that is $15,000/month... simple math.

I hope my post has somewhat inspired you to get back into what you setup and excel at it. However business isn't for everyone, so if you feel that way now is a good time to exit and focus on your Education which is equally important. You can always setup multiple businesses anytime, but you can never get the same chance to study... as you grow older, your motivation for education goes down the drain.

    Just my $0.02...

Best of luck Shik. I admired that you started so young personally.

I don't want to rain on shikir's parade here, but many people have started at a younger age than he (ie me).

    1. We were all 15 once. I've gone back and read things I've said even just a year ago @ 25 and think I looked like an idiot at the time. (Or even as recent as yesterday.) Consider what you, personally were doing online at Shik's age and have some perspective. Everyone's human and makes mistakes.

Live & learn Shik, fly under someone elses wing for a bit and you'll learn a lot more from their mistakes instead of your own. You've obviously got the gumption to start your own show but quite frankly you don't have the experience nor the capital, play it safe before you destroy someone's credit.

Best of luck with future endeavors.
p.s., don't be hard on the guy. Like I said, imagine what you were online doing at his age and half the stuff you outputted.

I do not know the ins and outs about what lead up to the situation but I have respect for you being able to admit that yes you did make some mistakes. We all make mistakes and sometimes businesses work out and other times it does not. Just think you come back in 5 or 10 years and people will be really upset they treated you the way they did. Best of luck to you.

I'm sorry for the double post but you make a very good statement. The older we get the more we change. If we didn't change how would be grow and become better people?
