Strange problem with .htaccess
Guys, you are my last hope.
I was hosting my site on a machine running LiteSpeed server, but few days ago have changed my hoster to other company, witch is using Apache 1.3.
So, my .htaccess looks like this (of course its saved as .htaccess):
As you can see, every rule seems to be OK, but none of them is working, even this one, wich removes www. from URLs.
Strangest thing is, that only thing that is partially working is this:
It should redirect to redirect.php, but it is redirecting to... download.php!
I have no idea what is going on. My hoster is saying, that this is related to errors in .htaccess, but I doubt that.
I hope that you can help me.
Sorry for my English BTW.
I can see "RewriteRule ^download/plik" is set to redirect to download.php. Test the .htaccess with a simple rule and see if it is working fine.
Redirect /yahoo http://yahoo.com
The requested URL /yahoo was not found on this server.
So, this is problem with my hoster, as I thought?
Yes. It should be that AllowOverride is set to none in the main httpd.conf file.
ask your provider to change the AllowOverride directive to All.
