Question What do you create website in?

What software do you use to create websites?

I used frontpage way back and now it is Expression web.

Although it is easier for me to come here and buy now days than build... I havwe been out of the coding scene for some time.

    Cheers,
    Matt

I just recently got into Drupal, as I have a serious lack of coding skill. It works for a few types of sites, and is relatively easy to configure, and get the database in order (with a little experience or google action).

Coda is a program that comes in mind for mac.

I personally use notepad++ and code sites from scratch rather than using a program such as dreamweaver. More work, but you will learn the programming language you are using much faster

I used Winsyntax heavily for the past several years. However, I've been known to stoop to using FPX 2 (YES, Front Page Express 2.0) to setup table layouts or using it to visualize a page before programming.

Started with EditPlus. Some times i use DreamWeaver. Now mostly use Zend Studio as mostly do sites in PHP.

I use komodo edit for everything. I buy pre-made templates, slice them and code it in komodo edit as well.

I use some CMSs for some of my sites, the others I just code with GVIM, a color coded text editor.

    Aptana + CakePHP.

I wish Aptana would support syntax highlighting for all CakePHP objects/methods/properties.

    Not quite Nirvana, but close.

Zend Studio/Notepad++ here - I like having control over the code, I could never use a generator like Dreamweaver, it's just terrible.

Dreamweaver is quite good. There are free alternatives like BlueVoda but I find Dreamweaver to be quite good.

I started with Microsoft FrontPage back in the 90s and it served me quite well. Nowadays I hire others for web development, and I just use NotePad to make edits.

I'm a simple notepad2 (windows) or vim (linux) guy myself. I do my web graphic works in Macromedia Fireworks and print graphics in Photoshop / Illustrator.

We started using Komodo Edit when it came out - awesome editor. What I like most about it is that its platform independent so we can run it on all our OS's.
