    Huge Blob of Arctic Goo

    http://www.google.com/search?source=...&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Sections up to 12 miles long so far. Oh boy, I'm curious as to what this is now. Reports of animals found with nothing left but bones in it, and even jellyfish getting swallowed up by it. Not sure I'd want to go anywhere near this stuff..lol. That thing is like a floating graveyard grabbing every living creature that gets close to it.... kinda like a horror movie.

Watch our governments start claiming it's a biological weapon from terrorists..lol

“We got the results back from the lab today,” said Ed Meggert of the Department of Environmental Conservation in Fairbanks. “It was marine algae.”

    No surprise.

The Artic is getting warming due to Global Warming. The warmer temperature is allowing algae to flourish in the ocean.

If it gets out of hand, the algae is to start killing off the sea life.

The whole eco-system would then be screwed up along with the food chain and humans will eventually die off as a result.

That damn movie gave me some "issues" as a kid. I couldn't walk into any room without looking up first to make sure a big blob was moving across the ceiling

No love for the 1988 remake?
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094761/

Shawnee Smith was pretty cute in it.

Heh, sorry for the late reply. I had to watch it... I don't want to say the 88` was worse (maybe...bc its really difficult to make that movie worse...) but none the less.. The quality (in all aspects (trying not to belly laugh - too hard to type)) is just greater in the 58`. I wasn't aware of the remake, but I think the main point was to make it Rated R. It was like holy (alphabet soup)s*f*h*- bomb - throughout the whole film : - P

    `'`'`(amorphous blob Smilie)

Heh, this trailer shows how good the original was in case you cant get to the local film store with a copy (mine didnt have it) http://www.archive.org/details/TheBlobTrailer
After watching this trailer... I guarantee you will be looking for this one at your local movie trading company.
