hi, i'm working on my blog about webhosting review, i wanna ask about what tests should be done for reviewing the webhosting provider? i mean as technically. now i'm currently running 2 kind of test for the review:
pull from webhosting to IX server and webhosting to IIX server
push from IX server to webhosting and IIX server to webhosting
i'm also include whois and cpanel screenshot for the result, thx.
good idea mate, speed test from different location, but for me, i have to buy more servers in different locations for running the test, i have to spend more money for my blog i'll do that slowly from now, hehe...
If you would like to know how fast a web host is, the better way is to find a website that’s hosted on the web host instead of the web host’s website. Download a few files and wandering around the website should reveal what’s the web host response rate.
I think the only way for you to test web hosting company's is to actually purchase web hosting from them. Once you have purchased the web hosting then you will want to try and 'break it'. Upload warez, porn, send support tickets, billing tickets - anything you can think of. Then once you have first hand experience it will be much easier for you to obtain a solid blog post about that company.
