HostGator and VOIPo always have and still do have a strong partnership.
In terms of our office move, there weren't any conflicts. We've never shared office space with HostGator directly.
While we've been in the same building, we were always on different floors. HostGator wanted to expand to the floor we on (2nd) and we moved to a large space occupying the entire 1st floor of the same building. We are opening a new headquarters in Southern California later this year so it made sense to move to a new temporary space that we planned to occupy short-term so HostGator could expand into a floor that they wanted to occpuy long-term.
In terms of the relationship, I am a former HostGator executive and jointly own VOIPo with Brent from HostGator. Brent invested in VOIPo as a personal investment in 2006. HostGator bundles our toll-free service with their Business hosting package and we work together whenever possible.
HG and VOIPo have always had a partnership but are completely separate companies.
