    Defiance

Just saw the movie Defiance this weekend. It was pretty good. It is a WWII movie about survival against the Germans. A good, realistic plot without overdoing special effects. I recommend it along with Taken.

In addition, I rent from Redbox and enjoy their service. If you are tired of Blockbuster and their shenanigans they are a good alternative if they are in your area.

Watched that and Bride wars the other night with the girlfriend.

Thought it was alright, but rather long and drawn out...started defiance around 10:30, and it wasn't over till like 1:00 a.m

Yeah I saw it a few days ago, wasn't an amazing film, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. Was a bit too long in the tooth though, started playing flash games on the laptop near the ending

I will admit it does start slow and probably isn't a movie I would want to see late in the evening as it is a little longer than the average film. However, it is still a good movie and is actually based on a true story which gives it a little more weight in my book.

Defiance was also a Movie with Jan Michael Vincent, and wasn't bad back in the late 70's I think it was.

    Patrick67,
I had not heard that before. Good to know. How was that movie in comparison?

It wasn't even the same. The new one was not a remake but a completely different story/Movie with the same name.

BTW, I also just saw Miracle At Saint Anna and was not impressed. It is a decent movie, but certainly not a good one or a must see. If you have the choice, I would probably opt for something else than this one.
