Is the slave connected via a local network or is it all done over the public network? It's possible you're connecting via the internet with your mysql client on the command line and trying to connect via your local network with the slave setup.
I would confirm you're using the same route with both, otherwise the master might be seeing 'slave_user'@'188.8.131.52' from your MySQL client and 'slave_user'@'192.168.1.1' from the slave setup (replacing 184.108.40.206 with your internet address and 192.168.1.1 with your local address). If you only authorized 'slave_user'@'220.127.116.11', then the other user will be denied.
Weird..I can't run LOAD DATA FROM MASTER; but the replication is working. What is the limitations of the replication process? I have tried to edit on WordPress and the changes on server1 is replicated to server2. However, the replication does not work if I edit the DB directly from the phpmyadmin. How do I control this?
you want replication of database or complete mysql, whatever it is slave user have priviliges to do act as some super priviliges, you have miss some step or did something wrong with that user, create new user for slave and check with that. or recreate same user.
