wiredtree alternatives? litespeed support needed.

I have VPSs from both Knownhost and servint and like them both. Looking for another VPS with litespeed support. Only option with good support is wiredtree(or suggest any comparable provider), but i am contemplating for two reasons:

1) download speed is slow when compared to KH and SI, I am only seeing 500-800 kb/s. Is it normal? where as KH and SI averages more than 1mb.
2) wiredtree is expensive when compared to other two.

I am prepared for number (2), but not quite convinced for number(1). is it generally slow when compared to other two? or just me from seattle?

How are you testing the speed to/from Wiredtree?

Through the browser (http://speedtest.wiredtree.com), did the same thing with the other two.

Servint.net. I think they have Litespeed.

Edit: they will only install your own license.

It's not that bad from New Jersey, it did max the connection out at one point but then started falling back to roughly 8MB/s.

PHP Code:
--16:07:23--  http://speedtest.wiredtree.com/100mb.bin
Resolving speedtest.wiredtree.com... 208.86.154.126
Connecting to speedtest
.wiredtree.com|208.86.154.126|:80... connected.
HTTP request sentawaiting response... 200 OK
Length
104857600 (100M) [application/octet-stream]
Saving to: `100mb.bin'

100%[=======================================================================================================================================================================>] 104,857,600 7.65M/s   in 12s

16:07:36 (8.28 MB/s) -
`100mb.bin' saved [104857600/104857600]

Check out HawkHost.com

They specialize in Lightspeed. Tony, which works at HawkHost, is a great person that I have talked to while I had my reseller account there.

Another option is to just get your own license from LiteSpeed then just install it at any provider you like. This is of course assuming you can install it yourself and do not need a provider who knows anything about it.

I noticed them, but their prices are slightly higher than wiredtree even after coupon for comparable plans.

For ex: ~512MB+cPanel+LiteSpeed+Fantastico = $63 at wired tree and $65 at hawk. And i dont see them offering whmcs. WT is offering for $10.

You should definitely give them an email!

Try out there speed files and see if it's better. If so, just check them out - an extra $5~ month won't hurt. You can always purchase WHMCS from LicensePal for only $12.95.

I'm able to max out Wiredtree's speed test on two locations, 100Mbps (Texas, NY). Able to get 50mbps download from Seattle.
