how does domain reseller account work?
I am looking at getting an account at Innohosting and it comes with a $6.95 domain reseller account.
Im not exactly sure what this entails or how it works.
I assume that you get an account at enom or somehwere and you can register domain names, but does it cost me to have this account? is there a monthly fee or minimum balance or something?
Im not sure how it would integrate into my site either. Is there a script or something that isnt too hard to integrate?
Cheers

For integration, they provide WHMCS which is very simple to integrate into your ordering process. As for the minimum balance, I don't know the exact amount, but I do think you need a minimum deposit in order to register domains on behalf of your clients. You should send them a sales ticket though!

P.S.
At the moment I register domain names at namecheap.com
would I be better off just keep doing it that way?

I use namecheap as well for my personal domains, with coupons, the lowest price is usually $8.81, so a $6.95 reseller account could represent significant savings if you are going to be purchasing domains in bulk. However, do keep in mind that namecheap provides free Whois guard service as well as a free SSL certificate, so there are a number of advantages to using namecheap as well. Are you purchasing the reseller hosting account just to receive the domain reseller account?

no i am setting up a service that hopefully a lot of people will use to register domains.
I was looking for an automated way of doing that to save myself a lot of work.

An eNom reseller account by default requires a 100$ deposit.

Hmm, after some further stumbling around, I cannot answer that question. It will probably best be answered by the Innohosting sales department.

If you buy a WHMCS billing system, they provide DirectI or eNom reseller accounts for free. Normally their chargeable.
I recommend you.

The reseller account is not with Enom because cheapest price on Enom is $7.95
How it works? You deposit money in your account and use credit to register domains.
You can use ready-to-use domain portal included or configure the reseller account with your billing system.

With a real domain reseller, you set prices for the public or your own resellers (if that option is offered), it can work different ways...you can integrate with WHMCS and do the up-charging from there, or, like Resellerclub and others, you also get a portal to brand w/ your stuff, and can set pricing structures there. I like Resellerclub because you don't have to have a large balance, just enough to pay for whatever is being ordered. Who want's to dump a benjamin into a resller portal that may not get hit for a loooong time?
