If you want to charge in AUD why not go to your local bank?

Try a different customer service rep. :-)

    Under Participating banks

    Commonwealth

I have seen a few companies advising their processing is via Commonwealth.

There aint any international companies offering credit card processing, while supporting the AUD currency then?

Worldpay does. And I believe Hostcharge does, or will do.

If you have your own merchant facility with the Commonwealth, or any of the other majors, there's a number of card processors that can interact with that. Such as securepay.com.au

Or are you specifically after a third party processor?

See if this helps as well:

Because hostcharge doesn't accept new clients at this time I recommend Worldpay.

Not really, if your processing thousands of dollars a month you can save hundreds (we made the change from 2checkout and have never looked back)

Commonwealth does have online processing. I have discussed it with their rep a couple of times. They cannot convert to USD is the only reason I do not use them for all my CC processing.
If I remember correctly the software cost about $350.00 AUD and discount rate was 1.4% when using their gateway.

There is a shopping cart called ShopFactory. They claim it can hook right in to Commonwealth Bank, also National Australia Bank and several others. List here.

I'm not saying to get the program but the list will give you a few places to ask.
