    100Mb/1000 visitors peak.

Hey guys, I have a single website with hires imgs and vids consisting of 100Mb. Easily, every visitor would access most/all this data and here is what I expect:
    10 months/year: 5-20 visitors.
    2 months/year: 1000 visitors.

How to choose a good host? I dont like the idea of unlimited, but also dont want to pay loads of fees on those 2 months. My research narrowed down to:

    InnoHosting.com (best cost/benefit?)
    500Mb/20Gb - $7

    LiquidWeb.com (the most promising?)
    1Gb/60Gb - $15

MediaTemple.com (sounds like unlimited to me)
    100Gb/1Tb - $20

    Any advice?

You may want to go with a dedicated server with the amount of traffic you will be pushing eventually. A shared host will probably kick you off or limit your simultaneous connections.

Do you mean just 1000 visits, or 1000 visitors at one time?

Well you should be able to get any shared hosting plan from any great hosting provider out there, and specially the prices you showed you narrowed down to there's also many others that can suppotr what you need and for much less... Shop around , do some research, shouldnt be any issues!

    1Tb - $20 appears to be a good pricing

Depending entirely on how comfortable you are with an unmanaged VPS, you could always try a service like linode.com or vps.net that will allow you to buy one node cheaply, then pay a little more to scale up for a brief period of time, then scale back down again.

I've not used either myself (simply not a good fit for my needs), but they are designed to be exactly what you seem to want; easily and quickly scalable resources.

I would love to know... But I agree, a VPS might be a good way to go.
