How to login with sudo username
How do I login to root with my sudo username and password? I do type su - in putty, but it gives me a "Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available."
lol I'm amateur at this.. someone help me out?
Seems like putty has TIS (equivalent of SSH2 protocol, if your server uses SSH2) or keyboard-interactive authentication disabled, try enabling that.
You have to go to your WHM and enable password authentication first.
Oh and yes, use SSH 2. This is the hardened SSH

Make sure you enter the correct port number. By default, its 22, unless you or someone else has changed it.
inspiron, it doesn't seem like an error for incorrect port number.
The issue might be due to any of the reasons below:
1) Root user might have disabled Password Authentication.
If that is the case, generate the key and upload it to the server.
2) If you are already using key based authentication, check the permissions set for the key file, it should be 600.
If this is the real question, login to the machine as yourself, and then type "sudo su" and give your password. If you have the right permissions, that should work.
