Can someone provide a gigabit/100 megabit file for testing purpose?
Also, is there anyway to test upload speed?
http://www.cachefly.com/ bottom right box. Doesn't have a gig file tho =\
I get 9.8mb/s on that... But how accurate is that? I tried to wget from another server it only shows 1mb/s...
Depends on your connection, not my server so I wouldn't know. Give speedtest.net a try if you have a browser of some type on your machine, that is usually more accurate.
http://lg.fdcservers.net/ Give one of those a try, FDCservers has pretty fast connections.
Is that pretty fast or slow?

I would say that is pretty decent. 2.75 MB/s = 22 Mbps
Limestone Networks has a 500mb file for testing:
