Looking for Mailing List Host/Management Service

    Hey all,

Not sure where to post this topic on here, so tossing it in this forum.

We partner with a hosting company for our client sites, and while they do offer mailing list services, it's more of a newsgroup format, with no advanced options, tracking, online list management, etc.

I'm looking into third party services now, in hopes of finding a more robust one I can use for my clients, to manage and send html based email blasts/newsletters, with options for multiple campaigns and lists and so forth.

Bravenet and Constant Contact are obvious ones out there, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with other companies, or other opinions on this?

    Thanks!

I have found that ConstantContact.com is great for mailing lists - never heard of Bravenet myself but I have used ConstantContact in the past with positive results.

It will differ per client of course, but this one in particular has a total of about 5000, with 4 different lists - 1 for each retail location in case they want to target it separately. We're looking at sending something out every two weeks or so.

Sounds like you should look for a provider based on the total monthly volume as opposed to the mailing list size and that rules out many of the well known ones

If you are looking for just a list application, I can recommend Dada Mail. I believe their pro version costs $50 one time. Very easy to setup and works well. We use it to keep our customers updated.

I used to use Constant Contact, they were great. They've been the only provider I've been with, so I can only speak for them. They were great to me when I used them

I would recommend mailchimp.com, I've been using it for a small list and I know someone who used it for a list that had over 700 email addresses on it, worked great.
