    Thumbs up Santrex.net VPS Review 1 Month

    Duration: 1 Month (June 09)
    VPS Plan: Bronze - Germany


    First of all, I've seen many Negative reviews about Santrex.net and I really don't know why but for me it has been great. I am no longer with them since I have outgrown my VPS and I have moved to a Dedicated Server but here's my review:

    Support

    Santrex has to improve in response time, I've had other host that can respond a whole lot faster than them. I really don't use support a lot so in this area I can't say a lot except that they have to improve in response time.

    Uptime

    Other than my VPS being down for being suspended (got suspended in the last week of the month) because my site all of a sudden got too big, the VPS was never down for 1 Month.

    Performance

    The performance of the VPS was great, it was fast and the download speed was very fast for my US visitors. I don't think they are overselling...

    Price

    This is one of the reasons why I came back to Santrex.net, my budget was a little low and they have the features that I needed for the price that I can afford.

    Suggestions To Santrex.Net

    1- Improve response time.
    2- Notify User if the VPS has been suspended.

    Do I recommend Santrex.net?

    Yes I do, in my case it was a great place for me to start my project and I would've continue with their services but as I said, I have outgrown the VPS so I have upgraded to a Dedicated Server. I am now with FDCServers.Net and will write a review soon.

    I worked with this hosting.
    Unfortunately support is very stupid. they can not solve simple questions and do not respect time.
    installing a server makes more than 1 week
    additional addresses issue of more than 1 week
    KVM connect with the accident for 24 hours.
    constantly demand money. and very bad speak English. they are a Hindu.
    I am never going to buy a server

    downtime 40%
    they take days to reply to a ticket
    all payments are non-refundable

    Hello,

    We haven't forgotten, you opened a ticket in the wrong department.

    Anyway, your server seems to have failed to reboot and we can't get it back up.

    The hardware was exchanged but it seems to be disk problem.

    Can we move you to another server? please let us know if you backed up your data.

    I don't see anything wrong there, your disks failed and we offered you a new server or new disks.

    I'm sorry if I misread something, but what is wrong in us helping you replace your hardware?

    We have tried ourselves to retrieve your data from the failed disks, but we were unable to retrieve it.

    Our French NOC will not proceed with any further manual work in a good timely manner specially when we're very positive that the disks failed therefore it was more appropriate and faster to get you new disks replaced or a totally new server.

    Which in this case it's not caused by us, but was caused by hardware faults which is something we have no power or control over.

    you do not have access to them. and you do not have specialists for these works.
    if not, give me a new server and connect to it my old HDD as an additional disk

    Running our own 200+ servers in OVH data center doesn't mean we can't process our own technical work in the data center and it doesn't also mean we can't perform all administrative tasks with any of the servers in there.

    We run our own bandwidth, racks and so on.

    And my statement regards your server was completely positive. If you're unhappy with our services you should have left us a long time ago but you're still a 6 months old customer with us.

    If we don't have technicians or specialists we would have not operated till today, as for your server it's already past due and it wasn't paid therefore we can't proceed with any further assistance furthermore if you were replying instantly over here you would have done the same days ago when your server experienced problems.

    you can not assist customers in emergency situations and accidents.

    No we don't ignore any emergencies, we do deal with them promptly just like your ticket history shows all questions were answered, and our options were given.

    And it was up to you to decide and let us know what you need.

  22. To me it sounds as if there was a miscomunication about was was really going on.

    you hard drive is done it failed. You need to pay your bill and they will help you get everything fixed. If you want to proceed like this
    you are just hurting your own rep. I am liable to believe you may be over reacting.
