Thumbs up Bad news, good news

I found many comments about issues related to web hosting: I'm definitely NOT an expert in such an articulated issue but I would like to reckon that the effective support provided by Byethost hosting has been an extremely valuable asset. I accumulated some database management skills since late in the '80, as a non-professional spin-off of my technical job. I found quite manageable to switch from local to distributed database management with the short but effective, fast and competent support provided about the most common roadblocks.

What... is the purpose of this thread if I may ask? It sounds more like a sales pitch that should be included on a resume than anything else so I'm a little confused...

From my perspective, as a non-professional, the development of web hosted applications has a lot to do with the support provided. For me it was a key issue and I supposed that it could be of some interest because I found many individuals expressing their feelings or feedbacks. I apologize if the format or thread was not correct: again I'm not a professional.

I'm not saying you are wrong - what I am asking is why are you saying it?

My analogy could be that I could make a post saying "Most cars in the world drive on roads and most cars that drive on those roads use gasoline or diesel as a fuel." While it is good information to know, it's not really something I'd post as a topic even on a forum based around automobiles...

You're just posting general information and I don't see the intent or purpose.

Why do you bring up Byethost? Do you have a hosting account with them?

I'm going for option 1 but option 2 is definitely a possibility.

Good News: All of our post count's increased.
Bad News: The posts didn't really help to further the community.

Maybe this should be moved to the lounge?

That would be the bad news,
my idea would be to 'put it somewhere closer to the OP'
that would be the good news [for us if not the op]
