Oh, this question wasn't because i had someone on for long it's just to bring up some type of chit chat :-) But now that you have pointed the finger back at me the longest i had someone on chat for was 2 hours. It felt supper long but this specific person was really nice. They were also new to the website thing. The type of questions they asked were all the questions that someone who doesn't know about a website/hosting would ask. From what is a domain and what does a ip have to do with hosting, what's the difference from us and free host, is their site going to be private just because they don't have an ssl, will they need any programs on their computer, what's an Ftp, whats a control panel. It was a great conversation they basically were browsing our site going through all the pages and asking questions.

2 hours!? Eek, that can't be fun. We removed our live chat feature and will never put it back.

Longest is 34 Mins. But i am sure there will be longer ones due to the fact i give technical support via live chat so its not just limited to the ticket system.

If we did not have LiveChat we would not have as many clients as we are able to answer there questions, most people are not bothered enough to fill out an contact form or send an e-mail

by live chat does that invole phone aswell or do you just mean electronic 'chat'?

done phone support before before I sold my old business. had a customer on the phone for about 3 hours ish cause they just wasnt listening. I would say do this and they would do somthing totally different lol.

got a different business now and most of it is done via remote access they just watch what I do and learn that way. much quicker.

2 Hours. The person was asking a lot of questions, but he did seem genuinely interested. Then after 2 hours, he just laughed and left. What a waste of my time...

^^ this is funny. I remember an instance i asked some very stupid questions intentionally for like 10 minutes, the sales guy closed the chat. Ahh my motive was only to bug though.

    Talking

I've spent about 30mins in a live chat once when buying hosting... I only did it because their site sucked and they didnt have all the information about their hosting on it. It was dumb, but at least their live help rep was helpful
