1 300MhZ cpu will probably either be a Raq3. K6-2 300 chip
If you can find an obsolete K6-2 450 chip lying around, you can replace the 300mHz with it.
Technology from 2 years ago, but still work wonders especially for offering very low cost hosting for limited diskspace. ie 25, 50, 100 megabyte accounts with no PHP. With PHP compiled onto the Raq3, depending on what sites the server will host, its not generally a good idea. But as I have pointed out, rememebr to upgrade the ram to 512 pc-100 sdram....(which is the max it can take)
An affordable solution for basic hosting. Emails, ftp, and static websites.
The speed the CPU will run it is dependent on the motherboards ability to support the CPU, so techniclly it could run a 450 CPU but it would need a motherboard that can handle it, or else it would be a 450 running at 300 mhz.
