I've recently ordered a dedicated server. I asked for custom partitioning but my provider has forgot to do that. Is it still possible to install Xen? If so, how shall I install it?
Anything preventing you just asking them to reformat it?
Although, I had recently to get a DC to format a server a few hours later (yea they asked us why and weren't happy) but eventually did it.

If your hosting company offers a rescue environment you may be able to make the changes yourself with a little create file replication.
Just ask for a reinstall.

Managed or not managed, as they made a mistake I am sure if you ask them to re-format it they definitely will.
Can you explain the mistake?

How did they partition it?
From my understanding, Xen works best (or is the easiest to setup) with a single partition, but it can be used with multiple as well.
But as others said, you can just ask for a reload, which should be at no charge (if they do charge) as they made the mistake.
