Need a Very Small VPS
Hello. I am in need of a very small VPS. About 1 or 2GB and about 20GB Bandwith. For my java private game server. It doesn't matter what country it is located in.
Thanks,
Rfizzle
Edit:
I don't need alot of ram. Prolly around 128MB Dedicated and 256 Burstable.
Budget is around $5Last edited by rfizzle; 07-02-2009 at 02:19 PM.

Since providers are not allowed to post there offerings in here, I suggest you take a look at the VPS offers section to see what suits you best!

The smallest and cheapest I know of are miniVDS ... if you need one of their bigger packages then Linode is better deal.

With an OS and Java running I would suggest 256mb of ram to be on the safe side.

5$ for a VPS, eeek.
You might wanna try the DP forums but don't expect that provider to be around after you order.

I also need one for shoutcast hosting/temporary backup/toy server for less than $10.
vpslink has a $7 but only has 64mb RAM. I need atleast 128 to install basic LAMP server.

I was running two tomcat + solr instances + a number of bots + a lightweight webserver on my 180MB ram VPS and didn't have any problems so far. I think tomcat+solr took around 30MB

If you raise your budget a little bit you can have your pick of providers. You will need to tune Java to work in a small amount of memory, by default it likes to allocate a lot more memory than it needs.
