    Is this a good LTO?

    Xeon 3360
    8 GB RAM
    4 x 500GB HDD
SATA 4 Port RAID Card 0/1/5/10

$119 on a 24 month lease to own

Bandwidth is $28 per/Mbps. The server would be at Atlantanap(Not through GNAX, but through one of GNAX's large clients).

    Is that a good deal?

Eh the bandwidth pricing is horrible for GNAX/AtlantaNap or whoever your going through in there.

The server you could build yourself for around ~$1300.

    Who's the provider?

Contact Ryan @ WireSix, he may be able to hook you up Tell him I refered you. He might be able to get you a manageable price. WireSix was one of the AtlantaNAP's largest clients but have purchased they're own facility and are moving out of atlantanap so wiresix couldn't do it in atlantanap but they can provide awesome prices and hardware in Atlanta. That bandwidth is still pretty expensive. Rather, still horrid.

Try contacting Ryan as noted above see if you can get a quote from him, then you'll see the difference.

Not sure where you get "horrid", seems pretty extreme when our rates are on par with other dedicated server providers, better in most. Bw can be had at lower rates but requires commitments and colo contracts. If you have better rates other places without contract, on single servers, I'm definitely interested in hearing about them.

Thanks for considering us Jacob, we won't disappoint!

GNAX silver network is $15 per/Mbps on a 1Mbps commit, and $40 for their gold network on a 1Mbps commit. Jag has a mix, as far as I know.

    Kody,

In all fairness you dont even qualify what the bandwidth is - is it a non optimized budget blend? Is it the premium gold network or is it some combination.

You then recommended someone else - without qualifying what their bandwidth is.

Making a blanket statement like that about bandwidth without any qualification on it, and then recommending someone else discredits your recommendation in my eyes.

IMHO if you ask some more qualifying questions about the bandwidth each would be quoting and what is the network and support structure behind you will be able to provide better comparisons and recommendations that seeming to appear to blindly endorse someone.

I know all of these providers and bandwidth and you cant just make a $ comparison - they are pretty different.

I also suspect that this is not apples to apples either.

It seems there are several companies out there that will do Lease-to-Own but don't advertise it on their main page.

Jag, you may want to add yourself to the list:

To the OP -- how much bandwidth are you looking for?

    Usually it's between 5Mbps~10Mbps.

It doesn't make sense for them to do so as they are just colocating. (in C4D & AtlantaNAP if I'm not wrong)
