this was brought to my attention via email by ottobohn while addressing a problem with the gameservice provider.

apparently derek over at xfactorgaming/xfactorservers took it upon himself to start n00bsalads old servers up with n00bsalads name on them advertising for his gaming community......... would this be a GSP that you would like to rent servers from? not me, not ever! (hence we run our own dedicated servers)

this was brought on becuase NS decided that the service with xfactorservers sucked ass and wanted better quality service. ottobohn was paid up through june 9th and was transferring the game servers over to the new box when his access was cut short by derek with the explaination of you didnt give 30 days notice...... i see no such stipulation in thier contracts prior to purchase as of the time of this post. and the comment in the email that derek is being charged for lack of 30 day notice is ******** to say the least. we (n00bunlimited) rent servers from colocations such as where derek rents his and there is no such thing as having to give them notice on dropping a server.


I for one think that the actions of xfactorservers (derek the GSP and owner of xfactorgaming) are childish and dishonorable. i will be posting the information provided to me at all the big webhosting sites and letting people know that the dedicated hosting company (ubiquityservers.com) and the game service provder (XFactorServers.com) provide terrible service and are unethical when it comes to dealing with thier customers.

NoobSalad was a client of ours for 10 months. Sadly they feel the need to go to every forum and bash us. What can you do besides move on.

I'll speak for n00bsalad here since Derek thinks that real negative reviews are considered bashing.

Fact: Was Customer for 10 months.

Fact: No customer service for me and other customers from May 2009 and forward.

Fact: We canceled our hosting due to bad customer service and Derek hijacks our dedicated box, using our servers to promote himself. Which business do you know that does this?

Fact: Derek was accidentally transferred $420 and he refuses to refund it. Any business that you send too much money to, sends the remainder back. Not this guy.

Fact: Derek refused to refund $420 back to n00bsalad.net and was told that he will be sued in small claims court. To avoid this, refund money that wasn't his. He decided it was cheaper for him to see us in court.

Fact: Derek deletes negative reviews on him. Honest business when he delete's customers reviews?

Fact: n00bsalad is boycotting him and we're telling anyone else who want to rent from him to use the coupon: bad customer service so when you do get your product 3-5 days later, you may get support on it.

Fact: Derek responds to email when you legally threaten him, not when you try to get support or an answer to a question.

So if you need to know why we're not happy with xfactorservers.com, it's simple. He hijacked our box originally and we resolved that issue. He stole $420 and refuses to give it back. That is 100% theft and bad business. So Derek, screw you.

Sorry but in the end we will win and you "trying" to tarnish our name is not going to get you anywhere besides wasting your own time which could be spent working on noobsalad and making your community a better place.

Isn't it theft to keep money that isn't yours? You're such a good person. How many other folks did you keep money for because you felt like it?

I'm just telling everyone that dirtbags like you steal money from hard working communities like you describe.

So when you refund the $420 that isn't yours, I'll stop telling people what about the money you stole.

We're not going to take advice from someone who hijacks dedicated boxes rented from customers when you don't like it. We owned that box up until June 09, 2009 and you hijacked it in May. Where's the ethics? You are a thief and everyone deserves to know about it.

Otto, Take him to court and do what you need to do. But if Derek said that he was going to cancel the link and you can provide a SS im pretty sure that you might have a decent case. If you cant get it in court, get it threw a paypal dispute.

If that is the case it would be wiser for you to stop communicating with the defendant immediately as you probably already know that anything said here can be used as evidence. Just a piece of advice, hope it helps you out.

I apologize if I overlooked something, however could you explain how Ubiquity is involved your frustrations with xfactorservers.com? As far as I can tell you are not a customer of ours, and we have no affiliation with this client. If there's something I may have missed here that I could actually help you with, I would happy to do so.
