Hi whrss, I am a newbie working on my own Ubuntu LTS server.
I'd like to try and enable the exec function applying your instructions to secure the tmp dir
But before trying I'd like to know if there's a way to revert back to previous situation once I have secured the tmp.
thank you inspiron, but please correct me if I am wrong
is the stickybit (to which my temp was actually correctly set) enough to overcome security issues left open by exec enabled?
then I could avoid applying whrss' suggestion?
I am talking about a single account. Place the php.ini file in the document root of the domain (public_html) and if you want the changes to be reflected to any sub-directories then place the copy of it and place it in the sub-directory(s) in which you want these changes to take effect.
