Someday I'm going to create an archive of all of the threads pointing to archives of webhostingtalk.com at archive.org. And it will start with these:

    http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=27064

    http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=53619

    http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=67035

    And, of course, this one.

On a related note, while on the topic of archive.org: under some circumstances, site operators might want to consider excluding themselves. For example, you might not want people to be able to come back next year and see what your prices for various products were today, or you might be giving away content that you plan later to monetize -- sell access to -- but would still be available for free at archive.org.

If you decide you don't want your site included there, just exclude ia_archiver from your site in your robots.txt file.

Did Assuie Bob somehow block whatever robot or spider is used to fetch pages?
