Do you even know what software you will use to offer VPS? Do you have a business plan? The 5450 is a very expensive processor, and one would argue that two 5410 processors would be a saner cost choice for a VPS node.

Just 1 1TB HD or 2x500GB or 4x250GB? How much bandwidth do you require? If I'm not wrong, 14GB RAM isn't possible with the board supporting 5450.

Why not?
It might not be the most natural configuration, nor enable full performance, but it's possible.
I'd recommend 16 GB at least for VPS based hosting, depending on the density and the expected IO usage per VM.
You might also want to look for a lower level Nehalem system

Oh, I was responding to the memory setup.
I did not assume that only 1 disk would be used
Maybe I should change my assumptions when dealing with WHT
