    Unhappy namserver resolving problem

    hello,

    i have 2 dedicated servers

    Assume,

    server1 (1 month ago)
    server2 (5days ago)
    domain name : pluzhost.com

i registered 2 nameservers for server1 as below
    hostname : power.pluzhost.com
    primary nameserver : ns1.pluzhost.com
    secondary nameserver :ns2.pluzhost.com

at last i add an a entry for hostname and nameservers in whm panel

finally nameservers and hostname are resolving finely and serving websites from 1 month ago.so there is no issue from my server1

    Recently i bought 1 new server(server2)

i registered 2 nameservers for server2 as below

    for server2 :
    --------------
    host name : free.pluzhost.com
    primary nameserver : ns3.pluzhost.com
    secondary nameserver : ns4.pluzhost.com

at last i add an a entry for hostname and nameservers in whm panel

this was done 4 days ago

    my problem is

    still now server2 not resolving.

    that means,

    free.pluzhost.com
    ns3.pluzhost.com
    ns4.pluzhost.com

    are not resolving.

please help me to resolving my unresolved host and nameservers.

    Thanks in advace

Did you add those records to the domain hosted on server1?

I don't see ns3.pluzhost.com or ns4.pluzhost.com listed on for the domain name. You need to add these into the dns entry for pluzhost.com on server 1

Prakash like Chris mentioned, you have to add A entries for

    free.pluzhost.com
    ns3.pluzhost.com
    ns4.pluzhost.com

On your server 1 into the zone of pluzhost.com, and for that you have to edit the zone file for pluzhost.com, to do that login to your WHM and go to Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone there edit the zone for pluzhost.com and restart bind. Once this is done, also your server2 should contain A entries for above zones.

    Yes that is true

And to over come that you can cluster DNS through WHM on both the servers, that will also give you some redundancy for server1 too ( Main >> Cluster/Remote Access >> Configure Cluster)

Also this way you don't need ns3 & ns4, just NS1 & NS2 will work for both the servers.

Just add another A entry on server 1 pointing free.pluzhost.com. to the correct IP for server 2.
