Well believe me, Microsoft won't stand still and will work on Bing more and more even if it's far behind.

So that you know, I'm a big fan of MS and also use Google in every search.
I think just time will tell..Let's wait and see.

Bing? No thanks. I will stick with Google.

On a side note, leave it to MS to pick a domain name with a pile of negative slang meanings!?

I have never heard of Bing until I noticed like 95% of my website hits during the NBA playoffs came from there, lol.

Google still rules for me so no need to fix what is not broken.

Bing seems incredibly fast to me, I really think MS is on the right track here. I've started using Bing over Google

I still don't understand exactly how Bing is supposed to be better. To beat an entrenched company like Google, you have to have an offering that is far and away better. This is not occurring here as far as I can tell so don't believe there will be any significant shift. Plus, it is my understanding that Google was already working on creating a more interactive search engine to compete against searches like Wolfram Alpha.

Would give Google some competition to innovate something more with their SE.

I tried to install Silverlight for the bing.com homepage, and was amused to get the following error:

The site that you visited was built for an earlier, beta version of Silverlight - not the current one. Please contact the site owner to let them know that they must upgrade to the latest release of Silverlight 2. Let us know if the site is not updated shortly so we can try to assist in upgrading the site to the latest Silverlight technology.
So I need to let Microsoft know their site isn't upgraded, so they can tell themselves? How does that work exactly?
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

I still like Google for everyday use. BUT: checkout Bing!'s 3D map feature. Worth the download. Awesome, and beats Google anyday!

I'm not a fan.. I'm not sure why MS continues to try, honestly.

Bing is alright. It will help my site having another popular search engine. I like google better still though.

When i first tried Bing i was not that impressed.

I personally will always use Google.

I really don't see a reason for Google to start worrying.

    Regards,

My biggest reason for sticking with google is that I know how to search with google. I know how to manipulate it etc.

The one big thing I have always noticed about the competitor search engines is they tend to retrieve the same results even if you modify your query string by a lot. Where as with google you can use "finess" to refine your search results. Then if you are really desperate use advanced search syntax.

    Talking

"What do you think of Bing!"

I think he was a great vocalist and pretty good actor in his time. Oh wait, you younguns are talking about a search engine, when old farts like me hear "Bing", we immediately think of Bing Crosby.
Everyone is entitled to MY opinion.

used it a few times and it is all right. But probably stick with google for a while until we start to using Ad placement in Bing.

I don't want to Bing it, I'd rather Google it.

As for Bing's homepage... who wants to see a picture of a beautiful beach when you're stuck in the office? That's just upsetting!

So far they completely failed. Only thing they are managing to do is create less functional copies of Google.
Yeah, I agree with that. You'd think that if a company had like you said, unlimited resources, they'd be able to give Google a run for its money.

Maybe the simplicity of search is what's keeping the box so small?
