    PhotonVPS - Review

This is my 'new user' PhotonVPS review. I've been with them for about a week now. I will definitely be posting a follow up review in a few months time as well.

I'm just going to break it down in point form, quick and paintless.

    Good
    • Setup within 15 minutes of payment.
    • Very nice benchmarks comparatively - Super nice servers.
    • Quick ticket response (usually within 5-10 mins)
    • Despite being unmanaged - very helpful and more than willing to help you get things installed.
    • Flexible - They were able to match a competitors specification without question or hassle. Amazing service (so far).

    Bad
    • Nothing as of yet

Will definitely keep this forum posted later down the road, as it helped me find this provider.

I will report the domain I am using on this VPS as well.

Over a month with Photon, and still very happy. Very responsive support and sales team. Great up time as well.. Server went down once for about 15 mins with over 48 hours notice.

    Will keep everyone updated.

Very little down time.. Like I said it went down once for 10-15 mins and I had 48 hours notice. Speed seems very snappy as well, not an issue with that yet.

Currently in a bit of a snag getting my cPanel license, but I'm sure it will be resolved asap like usual.

    8 months and running

Amazing support. Amazing uptime. Amazing communication.

I would recommend PhotonVPS to anyone. For the price, they simply can't be touched.

    What plan are you using?
Xen or OpenVZ? I have heard PhotonVPS quality and function are different between them.
I hope their Xen plans allow rebuild OS from control panel.

Yes, it is true, I have been with them for about 6 months now. Very good service for the price they offer it. I recommend them.. tickets are promptly answered on an average time of 30 minutes to 1 hour. OpenVz they are not providing any control panel. For good perfomance go for Xen.

Majority of OpenVZ nodes are on SolusVM now. Currently we're waiting for SolusVM to support Windows before offering this feature!
