Backing up VPS + synchronize to pc

after having all my baackups on local (backup folder) and losing all my backups with vasere, i think its time to try something new

Is it possible to generate backups on a local server, and have them synchronize with my home pc/laptop?

I remember reading someone say it in a thread, but after searching about i couldn't actually find anything, or that thread again =-/

any help would be much appreciated

Martyn, is your home pc/laptop permanently connected to internet, has it got a fixed public IP?

If you are generating backup on a local folder on your VPS, you can always download that backup to your PC.

Or you can use rSync to transfer that backup to a remote third party backup space (that many providers are selling).

BTW if you have always on, fixed IP PC at home, you can use rSync to download/sync your backup to your PC.
