My home page just doesn't cut it
No matter what I change on it, my home page just doesn't have the spark to get people interested in the site. I've followed numerous suggestions - reduce the text and add more pictures, increase the test for keyword optomization in search engines, make the current special the main focus, make what the company is about the main focus, etc.
It's frustrating. All suggestions are great, but my home page designs just aren't catching. All my other pages are great. But even my wife says my main page just doesn't look like a main page.
I like the site. I think it works.
A couple of tweaks to the text - for each of the three sales items you ought to add a very visible link after each spiel saying [in bright blue link colour] - >>>more
A lot of people won;t figure the link is in the tiel [well, I didn't at first].
The title are also just a little too hard sell. Maybe soften them up a little - let the spiel sell.
Also - - spelling/grammar error:
formulated plastisol compounds create a alive so real that bass think it's real bait.
As for interest - it simply depends upon how targeted your visitors are.
I like your site.
I will add the "more" links back on there.
Whoops about the spelling mistake! Gotta fix that!
The page still doesn't seem right. One of the previous home pages I kept as a sub-page - www.hawgbuster.com/lures.htm
If you search for my site out on google there are some cached copies of the previous pages floating around too.
There is just something missing...
Hmm...plenty of typos in my reply tho'!
Go to sleep on it and don't fret too much. If you're missing inspiration, you're going to have to wait for it to come.
It may help if you go fishing, though. Just an idea
I vote the second link.
Btw - you''ve got a duff footer graphic - bottom left. An ad or something - wrong file path or folder placement, I figure.
The footer ad graphic is working now. I think there cgi service was down for awhile today.
All the revisions you've made to the site have been good so far, however I just noticed that the yellow is very vibrant.
So vibrant that when viewing the site I have a stingy (burning) feeling in my eyes.
But who knows, it's probably just me.
