ie8 and firefox flash issue, need quick fix, $25 paypal should cover it
I have a customer that's asked me to fix their website. They have an html page with a body section that contains the standard <object blah>, <param>, <param>, etc, and:
The resulting flash object fills the page completely(scaling with resize) in IE6, Chrome, and possibly with IE7(don't have it, can't verify).
<embed src="content.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="100%" height="100%" name="content" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
It however does not show up properly in IE8. In IE8 and Firefox 3.0.11, the block is about the size of a standard business card, and the text inside is unreadable.
The text of the object is scaled such that it is plain/legible at full page width, and this is how the customer was accustomed to seeing the page displayed.
I would hope that this can be resolved with a little bit of CSS or HTML magic wrapped around the object, I just have zero flash knowledge.
I'd like to resolve and pay for this quickly.
PS: I thought there was a more appropriate forum for this, say a year or so ago, but alas, this seemed to be the best spot for it.
Customer decided to go another direction.
