    Question Quicktime streaming

    Hi all,

    Been a long time,

Can someone explain a few things to me please,

I need to be able to create video streaming accounts.
The viewer needs Quicktime player to watch a live feed.
What is the best way to go, any cheap options for this?
What kind of server and software do i need?

    Thanks in advance

I guess you would need to use Apple's Quicktime Streaming server for this? Sorry I don't have too much experience with this but have a look at

To be honest, Flash is more widespread than Quicktime among Internet users, so you would in fact be restricting the amount of visitors that can view your live stream by using Quicktime.

    Thanks all,

The person that wants to watch video has to have quicktime player
That's not a limitation i'm responsible for, it's the client.
So it's probably going to have to be qtss i dunno.
I tryed darwin but it's too open source foe me.
It's not easy to create streaming accounts and add security
While qtss seems to have all the features darwin lacks
The livestreams wont be on any web site either, i think what i require is the rtsp url from the live camera
    I'm not a technician though
