    Question Experienced Truckers Advise Needed

There is a house on a 1 way street.

It has a 1 car driveway.

How many parking spots are needed to be empty in front of the driveway and in the opposite, on the left side for a truck 35 foot long to be able to back into the driveway.

I am assuming that no spots are needed on the right side of the driveway since the truck is going to back into the driveway.

    Thanks,

Daycab truck? How wide is the road?

Will the truck be able to pull into a driveway across from your driveway? Is this a tanker or a moving truck?

It is a dumpster truck - roll off. The road is wide enough to fit 3 cars, two that are usually parked, so for driving only 1 car/truck width.

    Thanks,

Oh, those dumpster truck drivers are usually pretty good about being able to get into tight spaces.

When I had my old crane, it was longer than most dumpster trucks, and I could get into some interesting spaces.

To answer your question, I would try to ensure no cars are parked across the street from your driveway, and to the side the truck will pivot on, and maybe on car length on the other side, just to prevent a mishap, as that side will be somewhat blind for the driver.

Not sure if its possible in your area, but sometimes if needs they will pull up onto the curb across the street to get more room, but with a wide street, that should not be needed.

    Peace,
I was just going to ask, "How experienced is the truck driver?"

Great to hear that it worked out.
