How fast does my site load?
I am currently using a hosting provider in Sweden and was wondering if http://www.tibiahelp.com lags for you? Is there a program that can tell you how fast it loads in different countries? I am wondering this because my visitors come from all parts of the world.

You've got a 2MB PNG file that is killing the site.

I'm on a 10MB cable internet connection in southwest Florida and without a cache the page loads between 10-15 seconds. Total page size is about 3MB and your other gifs are quite sizeable as well.

I will remove http://tibiahelp.com/templates/memht/images/bg3.png. What else can I do to speed it up but not change a lot of the design?

Well that alone will drops the page load without cache to between 2-3 seconds. I would expect such a site to have some graphics and your header gif is such. That's the next biggest file at 252kb. Once it is cached the other pages load much faster. Maybe just removing that single 2MB file is enough for your audience?
On a side note. Interesting MMORPG. I've never heard of it before but I guess it is better known to European audience?Last edited by Ceetoe; 06-13-2009 at 07:44 PM.

Since the computer requirements are very low for the game, most players come from Brazil and Mexico. Tibia was created in Germany though.

I cannot really give you much information on how to fix it, but I can say that it loaded in about 7 seconds and seems fairly "jerky". Maybe higher someone to optimize your website coding/images a bit? Especially if your target market is Brazil and Mexico. If it's taking that long to load on my fast of a connection and on a powerful computer, I'm not sure how well it will work in those places where internet connections / hardware isn't probably as up to snuff.

You might want to search on the word "yslow" it is the tag word for an initiative from yahoo! to teach world+dog about how to improve web site load times. Almost everyone finds a tip in the list that can help them out.

I play tibia, made me smile when I saw this. =) Yes you will have visitors around the world, but I would get better hosting as it is very slow here in the United States and a good majority of players are from the US

Its taking time to load the site so i request you, instead of removing the header image reduce the file size of that image and then again upload to your server. And also try to reduce file of other images so that it will load faster in all browsers.
