Nameservers will need to be configured via WHM -> Nameserver IPs. There could be other issues as well depending on how cPanel was installed and configured. I recommend getting management for your server.
1. Have you registered your nameservers with your domain registrar (GoDaddy, etc.)?
2. Do you have APF or any other firewall configured currently? If so, is port 53 blocked for UDP, TCP?
3. What is the contents of your namserverips file?
I did registier them but I was only given 1 IP, my server ip, username an password (altho password was wrong I had to get it changed) but they did give me some resolve ip's that I used for cpanel, should I have used them for my custom name servers??? An yes there's are setup within name.com! Thanks for all your help guys!
P.s falsealarm not on my pc at the moment am using my blackberry to reply, but In the nameserver ips file? I think it only contains 1 ip address linking to two name servers,
