    whmManager Module - PerlDesk

Okay folks, I wrote this for my use but I figured others may be interested .

This is direct from the doc file:

HOW DO I CONFIGURE THIS MODULE?:
    1. Open the modules.php file and change include to include_once.
    2. Select "Change Settings" under PerlDesk to the left of this page.
    3. Enter the MySQL settings to conect to PerlDesk.
    4. Click "Update."
    5. Done!

    INFORMATION:
This module inserts user information into the PerlDesk database once they finish the signup procedure. This is useful for automating your support system or allowing only customers to create helpdesk accounts.

Note that this probably won't work correctly if you require users to validate there email, and would be fairly useless if you require admin approval of new accounts. Also your config.php file must be chmod 777 when changing database information, however, I'd suggest changing back to at least 755 after editing database information.

Warning: The above procedure requires changing a file within whmManager, and I honestly have no idea what effect this will have on other modules (it shouldn't have any effect at all).

    The zip file contains:

    perldesk.php - the module
perdesk_doc.php - documentation used within whmManager
    install.txt - basic install instructions.

np ... probably should have put this in Running a Webhosting Biz so more people would see it, but oh well .
A well-reasoned assumption is very close to fact.
