Restrict cpanel domain admin to email only?

    Hi,

I have an interesting requirement which may very well be impossible..

I have a situation where I want to only allow the domain admin to administer email only.. I don't want them having access to anything else.. Everything else will be managed for them..

    Is this possible?

    Thanks.

    Hello,
Yes, it is possible to restrict everything via an ACL (if you are root). The problem is that you will have a hard time managing the account when you need to get in.

The best solution is to create a 2nd control panel using the cPanel API. The email functions are well documented and it should not be hard to build something with a bit of PHP and MySQL

Why not just set the permissions in the coding for the email itself? CPanel is certainly capable of this and it does not take much modification.
