You can use e-Gold on the net at the following places:
There are a few hosting companies that accept e-Gold, again listed on the above page. A lot of auction places allow e-Gold to be used in payment.
I have a cash card now that I can transfer money direct from e-Gold onto. I'll be setting up my hosting company to take payment through it very soon, as they have a very well documented SCI (shopping cart interface) that you can use on your site to aid integration with your order system.
Not to sure now but they used to lock your account once it reached a certain limit. To unlock it you had to prove who you are by faxing passport/drivers licence to them. They may have changed this system by now... it's been a while since I unlocked my account.
I was unsure about them when I first saw them... but they have been around for quite a while now and the security systems they have in place are quite extensive. I'm quite happy to use them... especially when there are sooo many horror stories about Paypal flying around.
