This happened a week earlier, and happened right now again...

I open hivelocity to check out their server plans again, and i open the dedicated servers page, and there flashes a sexy promotional image, while i was having kids around

What do you guys think, anything like this every happened to you? :p

PS: This is a general unofficial suggestion, no offense intented...

Whenever I saw that picture, it really makes me..........okay, you get what I mean right? Surely the picture is annoying.

It's a little odd to see that on a hosting site, however a girl in a bikini is hardly not kid friendly. Take them to the pool or a beach? I see more there.

Not to offend, but I asked my lesbian partner in crime for her thoughts and all I got was "They have my vote!" I guess it is all in who does the viewing.

She's kind of ugly, in all honesty.. hey if they want to sell hosting with sex appeal that's their deal. It worked out for Godaddy pretty well. It's a risky move, and I tend to avoid companies that take that route, but some people dig it.

I'm actually more shocked at the verbiage at the bottom of the page. I thought search engines wised up to that a long time ago.

I have no problem with that image, but it would make me think twice about hosting with them.
I don't want any of my sites associated with "sexy" sites, especially with google.

There's a time and place for that stuff.. but hosting should not be it (unless they are targeting those types of sites)

Think that in this case it was not what the children think of the woman in bikini, but more on what the children may think you have been watching

The big linking at the bottom of the page is indeed far more offending and childish way of trying to get your page up as high as possible. And indeed do wonder how many penalty points they get for it, but only google knows.

I didn't notice it until you mention it... It has plenty of links too, wonder what is the purpose of it anyway... With the size and number of words, I doubt many people will be interested in reading that chunk of crap.

for years advertisers have been using sex to sell products, and this is just another advertiser doing that, however 1, she aint that nice looking and 2, i stay away from companies that have to use sex as a sales method, just makes me think that they are prostituteing their company

Are Hivelocity trying copy goddaddy?

I would suggest them to remove it
