Looking for good red5 VPS Hositng

Does anyone have a recommendation? I am looking to only pay around $30 $50 a month while we are in development then we need to be able to have some massive expansion capabilities.

They need to have red5 either pre-installed or it be an option.

512mb+ RAM
30GB+ HD
500Gb+ monthly transfer
Cpanel

So let me know I found two places so far but I wanted to know what you pros think i need to buy it tomorrow.

PSM will install this for you. You can widen your provider search if you account for the additional cost of the 3rd party mgmt.

We just finished installing Red5 0.9 and JDK 1.6.14 based on this tutorial:

I got hostv and their support is top notch just red5 seems a little unstable and slow on it. I will upgrade my specs and see if that helps.

Red5 is easy to install as long as you have java the compilation can take seconds. What is wrong with your hosts with red5 is it exiting? Sometimes upgrading your node may not work if their nodes are dangerously overloaded.

it seems I always have to restart red5, so i am thinking its a resource thing. I can't move to a dedicated server just yet.

You'll need to find a VPS provider that doesn't oversell.

Red5 is fairly demanding on CPU and RAM moreso with cPanel on top. I would recommend 768MB++ and decent CPU power/allocation for best performance But a lot will depend on the nature of what exactly you are doing with it, and how much load you are putting on the machine.

cPanel VPS can work with 512mb but is recommended to have more. Your performance may differ depending on the your host provider's node. For example, if your host provider puts you on an Intel Celeron 1.8Ghz yet you have 1GB ram you will notice some slow speeds, epically if your sharing with another 20 people.
