Probably not.
But if what you do is legal, there is nothing to worry.

Forums, blogs would probably not be a good candidate.

Business website, business application to serve users in China, these are valid usage.

Pretty much anything that gives you the freedom of speech or expression is not allowed and banned in China, although they do allow a lot of hackers to have safe harbor.

Not to go into a political or ideology but that is simply a common one-sided opinion coming from exposing to one-sided media reporting. I would urge you to speak to people who had visited, lived in, worked in the country. Most would hold a more balanced view.

Anyway we have servers in a number of countries and in each country we follows what is required. Our preference is to serve and support clients that have this same respect for each country.

Are you serious? China just blocked Microsoft's new search engine,Bing, and they blocked twitter and flickr from their citizens just yesterday!!

They also refuse to allow the discussion of the mass killings of their own citizens that happened 20 years ago today.

The one-sided reported is coming from the media outlets you are allowed to watch, government owned, censored, media outlets.

ALSO: I have a little over a dozen friends who visit China regularly for business.

So to all; if you want your site to be indexed by Microsofts SE's, you best be going with a server outside of Red China.
