Need suggestion of a webhost
Hello all,
I'm new to forums and would like to get some suggestion from you guys
actually I have post this question before but some how I can't post a reply to my own post
I want to buy a hosting service with following feature
1 SSH
2 SSL
3 Rsync
4 SVN
5 Wordpress, Drupal support ( plan to run multiple wordpress and drupal site in this hosting plan)
6 multiple domain name support in one hosting plan
7 a lot of bandwith
8 great customer support, and low down time
I do some research and like how the nearlyfreespeech.net does
however, they not support email and ssl, is there any other web hosting that close to nearlyfreespeech but have email function?
any suggestion?
Thank you so much

To get what you want just for just Number 1 and 3 on your list that will put you on a VPS or a dedicated server. All the other stuff is pretty basic. If you are not a system admin get a fully managed system or something with a good control panel and be willing to learn alot about servers.

Well I guess almost most hosts nowadays offer what you require
Just search for customer reviews either here or in google and you'll find the right oneGabrielle ~ Host Department LLC

Actually Rsync is normally not available for shared hosting. All other requirements should be readily available with any hosting provider depending on your budget.

I suppose you will get that easily on VPS not on the shared web hosting account, becouse not all web hosters give SSH and if they do that they give that by request and for the trusted customers only.

VPS would be the option for you. You may want to consider Managed VPS, which works almost like a Shared Hosting Account, but with greater flexibility. i.e. you can have RSYNC and SSH.

You can have unmanaged one as well as that depends on your skills only. But again you can find shared web host with the same options included. But in this case you will need to explain to the prospective host what do you need SSH for

I assume that you need to do the search for the VPS. Believe me even if you find shared web host in several monthed you will need to find VPS for your growing web project. So do not waste your time and do the search for the VPS

A lot of bandwith? you need to estimate how much bandwith do you need actually. That always is the main factor to choose a hosting plan.

If you are going to plan on using quite a bit of Resource then a Shared Account might not be a valid choice, Bandwidth can be worked with while the same goes with Space.
