Hey guys,
Please don't consider this post as spam as I only need a few opinions and suggestions regarding the speed of loading my website. How do you find in terms of speed of my blog? Is it slow? - My blog: mangochico.com
I am contemplating in changing host as I believe my current host isn't up to par when it comes to loading times.
Tell me what you think about the loading times and if you happen to know a good, reliable and fast host please list it below so I can take a look at it and see if it fits to my needs.
Thanks again!
P.S. I'm being hosted by PeachyDandy.net

Your site does seem a tad slow. A new host should fix that if you don't mind moving.

Site is loading fine from here but a little slow sometimes.
Out of topic, are you from Cebu?

I thought I was the only affected by the slow speed. Got any suggestions FazeWire regarding a new host?
And yes I'm from Cebu.

I'm after a fast, reliable host that can support my growing blog. I'm not after hosts who oversell and bullcrap about what they offer. A budget of less than $7 a month can do. Thanks!

Good to see some fellow here from Cebu. I am too :-)
I recommend you to contact your host and tell them about your situation. It can be just a little optimization there....

You should be able to find numerous hosts for the price you want. I do not have any first hand experience with any shared hosts, but I know HawkHost and MDDHosting both have good reviews.

It may not be your host. Your home page has a lot of content that is hosted elsewhere, which could be responsible for the slow load times.

The only content which is hosted somewhere else are the videos (youtube and another embedding website) plus the Twitter plugin at the sidebar.
Do you guys see the JavaScript slideshow showcasing the featured posts of the blog?

I see that you're running a Wordpress blog. Perhaps it's an addon that you have that may be causing the slow load times? You'll have to take into consideration all these factors as the issue is more or less likely to be your host. If you find out that it really is your host then you should first contact them to see if they can resolve it for you first, this will say you a lot of time. If attempts are made to resolve the issue then perhaps looking for a new host will be the final step to attempt to resolve the issue.
The site did take about 6 seconds for me to load. Everity brought up the point that it may be caused by a lot of remote content such as the ads, videos, and pictures but I checked a few of your other pages that has less content and it still look just as long to load.

Upon digging deeper, here is what I found:
There are a few things slowing your site down, that you can fix.
First, there is a 404 on a JavaScript file that is being loaded (or tried to load) which is adding 2.88 seconds to your load time. That file is: http://www.mangochico.com/wp-content...y-1.2.6.min.js
Second, this little button is adding 3 seconds to the load time.

Maybe just host that file locally to cut that time out?
That is about all you can do, unless you take out the videos that are adding 4 seconds to your load time altogether.
Hope this helps a little at least.

Moreover, I have the Cpanel to my website is taking a long time to open up too. I don't think it has anything to do with the external content on my homepage. Even loading up individual posts take a considerable amount of time to load.
Ok here's a fresh new install of a Wordpress database. It's still slow - http://www.mangochico.com/testwordpress

Yea, I see it. The initial pageload is what is taking so long on my end. It seems that the site takes forever to initially respond, but then loads OK.
I agree with others. Try and contact Peach Dandy and see if they are able to do some optimization. Since your using Wordpress, be sure to delete any unused plugins and enable caching, if you have not already.
Cool site BTW.
